Yoga and Movement for Every Body

Studio Schedule

Class Descriptions

  • Vinyasa is a style of yoga that links conscious breath with fluid movement, strengthening and stretching the body and mind. It is often called a “moving meditation.”

Class begins with gentler movements to warm up the body, then progresses to more active postures in a flowing sequence. Practice ends with slow, deep stretches and a restorative savasana – a time for your body to absorb all the benefits of the practice. In All Levels classes, options and modifications are offered to meet the needs of all students, beginners to advanced. Intermediate classes will include longer holds and more complex/challenging poses. Gentle Flow is an All Levels class that takes a slower pace with a focus on more gentle poses.

  • Like Vinyasa (Flow), Hatha (Align) links breath and movement, however Hatha also brings more stillness to practice.  The pace of class will be slower, with a focus on alignment.  Instruction will include the optional use of props including chairs for those with limited mobility or stamina for standing.  These classes may incorporate elements of traditional Hatha practice including pranayama (breath control), mudra (hand and body positions) and some chanting.  Class begins with centering and gentle warmups for the entire body before moving into stronger warm ups, standing (or more vigorous seated) poses, and balance poses (with or without the assistance of a chair or wall).  If you are new to yoga, have limited mobility, or simply prefer more focus on stillness in your practice, these classes are for you.

  • Yin and yang are necessary aspects of a healthy life. Our regular vinyasa practice is yang -- invigorating and refreshing us. Come explore a Yin practice to soothe and calm, to cultivate physical ease and mental calm. We will find long holds of supported poses to gently stretch the connective tissues and increase joint flexibility. Each practice will feature relaxing music and the mindful use of essential oil aromas.

  • Private classes are now available for individuals and groups. Individual sessions can be used to get your questions answered and support your personal practice. Group sessions are a unique way to gather and celebrate with friends or coworkers. Email Katie at connect@wellspringhealing.org or Susan at susan@wellspringhealing.org to learn more!

Meet our Yoga Instructors

  • Ronda began practicing yoga 15 years ago, after searching for a movement practice to complement running and her martial arts practice. She fell in love with the ways that Yoga challenged her to use her body and her mind. She continues to appreciate the ways that yoga benefits her health, her life and her relationships off the mat, and she is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with others.

Ronda completed her YTT 200 in 2023 with Kramas Yoga School. Ronda works as a Special Education Teacher in the Sun Prairie Area School District. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, gardening and being out in nature.

  • Hi, I'm Krista! I studied Psychology and Neuroscience at Grinnell College in IA, where I also completed a study abroad program for four months in India, which ignited my loves of travel, yoga, and spirituality. After graduating I worked at a wilderness therapy program for at-risk teenagers and then moved to Japan, where I taught English for three years and met my partner. The two of us did our 200-hour RYT training in Bali in May of 2021 and then moved back to the States. After that, I earned my Master's in School Counseling from UW-Stout and then moved to Sun Prairie in 2023. I'm so grateful to be a part of the Wellspring family!

  • Katie Sharrow Nichols has 15+ years of experience in mission-based, small business development and management. Wellspring, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is the creative baby of Katie and her spouse, James Nichols.  Together they rehabilitated Wellspring’s historic home and developed the vision for the organization, with a mission of making yoga affordable and accessible to the Columbus area.  Katie was introduced to yoga 20 years ago, and fell in love with both its simplicty and complexity. She is passionate about sharing yoga’s gifts and helping make them accessible to everyone—destress, let go of mental clutter, welcome healing and vitality, see the ripple effects in one’s life.

Katie completed a 20 hour kids yoga teacher training with Meet Me in Child’s Pose in 2023, Beyond Asana, an 80 hour training in the yogic subtle body with Khushi Malhotra through The Bhakti Yoga Movement Center in 2023/24, and a 200+ hour yoga teacher training with Alex Pfeiffer at Main Street Yoga Center in 2024.  She feels great joy and gratitude for the birth of Wellspring in her hometown and for all who have supported this manifestation of Love.

  • Susan Running is a passionate believer in the benefits of yoga for body, mind, and spirit. She didn’t take her first yoga class until she was almost 50 years old, and then immediately fell in love with the breathing, mindful movement, and deeper spiritual connection she felt. She completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 and her Yin Yoga Training in 2022, both through Kramas Yoga. She holds additional certifications in Yoga for the Stages of Menopause, Yoga for Beginners, Harmonic Energy Fusion, and Mindfulness Education.

Outside of yoga, Susan is a Reiki Master, Holistic Wellness Coach, and certified Menopause Coaching Specialist.  She is a retired school counselor with 35 years of experience supporting others with behavior change and personal growth. Her purpose is to lovingly help others tap into their own deep inner wisdom. Susan’s biggest joy is being a grandma!
